8 Days left!

I may not look it, but I feel huge.....only 1 week 1 day until our little girl arrives!
Here is the most recent belly shot of me, everywhere I go people say i'm to little to be as far along as I am.....but man I don't feel small, I'm just carrying her a lot in my back, so I'm in constant pain from that, plus you add in the 25 extra pounds I'm carrying compared to pre-pregnancy...and well I think that would make anyone uncomfortable.

Enjoying the SUN

So I realized that lately it seems all my post have been about my pregnancy, or some other random thing....so I decided this one is going to be all about my little guy! The other day we took him out to play in the water, considering its been so hot lately, we thought it would be a perfect way to spend the afternoon, and it was. He just loved it out there, I thought because it was hooked up to the hose the water would be to cold, but that didn't seem to bother him at all, as long as he was able to splash and play he was perfectly happy! I have been really terrible at taking pictures lately, so I really only have these two of him playing. But we both had a blast just splashing, but I think his favorite part was splashing me. Its so nice to have a yard now to actually play in! Everywhere else we have lived we haven't had this luxury, so its been really nice to be able to get out of the house and let Daniel just crawl around and explore! But we have been having a great summer so far...full of walks, playing outside and something I love lately that he hasn't done before is he will actually sit with me and watch a movie and be perfectly content, with the way I have been feeling its been nice that he'll do this with me, plus the fact that were sitting there together I don't feel so guilty about him watching some T.V. I consider this our time and its precious to me!

Getting excited!

So this weekend I went up to my moms house to hang out and do some shopping and basically try to get last minute things done before this baby girl arrives. And as we were doing this I realized how excited and anxious I am for her arrival, I really have begun nesting, at least with the part of getting every little detail ready for her, I swear I have folded and refolded her clothes, organized all her blankets, burp cloths and just about everything else into categories, and there is a place for everything, and I check, and double check it throughout the day. I have lists all over the house of what needs to be done, and things I still need to get done, and things I want done before she comes, and things that will need to be done after she comes. So needless to say, I'm getting excited, and your probably wondering whats up with these pictures, well....these are some of my recent purchases and gifts that I have gotten and am so excited to use(especially my new sling and nursing cover!)!But really Girls are so much fun to buy for! Its has gotten quite dangerous lately, but I still have some self control(not much, but I still have some). Plus we finally decided on a name! Yeah!!! I don't want to spoil it and just in case I see her and it doesn't fit, we're keeping it a secret, so you'll just have to wait and find out. But things are becoming more real, and the reality of having another baby has finally began to sink in, but I'm so ready for this next step, I know its not going to be easy, but I know its going to be worth it!

clearing things up

so I just realized my post on "i'm so ready to be done with this" came across negative and maybe even I was talking about being so done with this pregnancy, when actually I was just talking about the Gestational Diabetes part, I have actually enjoyed this pregnancy, I have had a little more discomforts this time, but it really has been fun and for the most part enjoyable. Really the only thing I probably complain about and just tired of dealing with is this Diabetes thing, but I know the sacrifices I make and by following dr's orders I'm doing what is best for our baby, plus when I look at the bigger picture, its not forever, it amazing how the minute you deliver its gone! So.....it may not be fun, but I'm dealing with it and I can see the end now, and that is what keeps me motivated and on track.

Digital Scrapbooking

So I know I have already posted this picture, but Jason just got me photoshop and well....lets say i'm quite the beginner, and I don't understand it all quite yet, but I'm trying to figure out this whole digital scrapbooking thing, and this was my first page I did, and i'm still not quite sure I know what I'm doing, so if any of you know any tips and know any good websites for me, please let me know....i'm having a lot of fun with it, but I'm still a little confused, and still not sure how everything works, and how to do all the cool stuff I see on so many of your websites. This page isn't anything special, but I was proud I figured this much out on my own.
I'm so ready to be done with this!I think what I'm looking forward to the most is......not having to prick my finger 6 times a day! Lately I have been very frustrated with this whole Gestational Diabetes thing, and frankly I'm ready to be done with it. It seems no matter what I do I can never get it right, I eat what they tell me to, and my numbers are high, and then I have those days where I say forget this, and eat what I want, and my numbers are low, I just don't get it. On a better note, I had my dr. appointment this week and things are right on schedule, we are set for July 15th at 9:30 a.m.! Crazy to think in just 2 1/2 weeks we'll have another baby, but I definitely can tell the time is coming close, as the nesting instinct has definitely kicked in! So only 18 days to go!

My Baby Shower

Last night my friend Rosie threw me a baby shower! It was so much fun, a nice way to get out and spend some time with girlfriends! Those are precious moments for me! Thanks Rose for a fun night and putting it all together! And thank you to everyone who came and for the wonderful gifts! I can't wait to use them with our little girl!

Happy Father's Day!

He just can't get enough of riding on daddy's shoulders, it seems he is up there a lot these days.
After trying a million times to get Daniel to look at the camera....I gave up.
I just wanted to give a shout out to Jason, my dad and Jason's dad! Happy Father's Day! I feel so lucky to have you men in my life, and you are all such great examples to me and Daniel. To my dad....thank you for all your hard work, and being such a great example to me growing up, I love the way you are with Daniel and I know he just adores you! I feel so blessed to have you as my dad! To Rick...thank you for raising such an amazing son, I know he gets many of his great qualities from you, and its because of you, he is able to be such a great husband and father. I love being a part of your family! And to my wonderful husband, I don't think words can even express how lucky I feel to have you in my life, you are an amazing father and husband! Thank you for all the sacrifices you make for our family, I know its not easy to go to school full time and work full time, but I really appreciate everything you do for our family. I hope you know how much I love you!

Crazy to think, that in 4 weeks 5 days will be having our little girl! But the countdown is on, and its time to get busy, I really need to finish getting things ready for this little ones arrival. Rihanna & Kanye West

As a birthday present from Rosie, she got us tickets to go see Rihanna and Kanye West, a much needed girls night out! (Thanks Rose for such a great night!)
Rosie and her two prego friends! I think people thought I was crazy for being there, but hey even pregnant woman need to have some fun.
Rosie got us passes to meet Rihanna, they were pretty strict, no camera's no autographs, only they could take the pictures, but we were so sad....it was the only blurry one out of the group of pic's they took. But hey we got to meet her, and that was just cool in itself. Plus I got my belly rubbed by Rihanna, as I was walking up she looked at me and was like "oh how cute are you", and then preceded to rub my belly, I think this was the one time I was okay with a stranger touching my belly without my permission. But she was so nice and just completely gorgeous!
she was just gorgeous! so skinny and tall, i'm jealous!

6 weeks left!

Its hard to believe in less than 6 weeks we'll be having our little girl!

May 29, 2008

32 Weeks

So I know I usually write all my pregnancy stuff on my other blog, but I thought I would write a little bit here, and share my feelings so far with this pregnancy. Its hard to believe I only have 8 weeks left, well give or take, probably more like 6 or 7, depending on when we decide to do the c-section, but I'm finding myself more and more anxious for her arrival, but at the same time scared as can be, even though things have gone very smooth and all my tests have come back good, and the doctors are repeatedly trying to reassure me that everything is OK, I just can't get this hidden fear out of the back of my head, so I guess it won't be until I can finally hold her and look at her and really know for sure that everything is okay. But I will tell you one thing, she is a very active little girl! And boy does she love kicking me in the ribs, my favorite part though is when I'm sitting on the couch and you can see her kicks, see her moving from one side to another, and then when your belly is lop sided because she is sticking her bum out on one side, I never got to experience this with Daniel, he just wasn't a very active little one, and with his low muscle tone I didn't feel him nearly as much, so I'm just trying to take this all in and enjoying feeling how strong and active she is. So with that, even though yes it can be uncomfortable at times, it is so comforting to know she is a strong and healthy baby girl! Its just so strange to think 2 pregnancies can be so different, at times I find myself asking my mom questions, and then I stop and think, I should know this, but yet I never experienced a lot of these things with Daniel, so in a way I feel like a beginner at this. But really other than having to deal with the ups and downs of having Gestational Diabetes, I don't have much to complain about on this pregnancy, I mean I do hate the leg cramps, heartburn, and waking up every 2 hrs to use the restroom, but that all comes with being prego, and at this point I expect it. So when it really comes down to it, I have actually really enjoyed this pregnancy(although I may complain a lot, I blame the hormones!), and am really looking forward to meeting our little girl! And no, we don't have a name yet, we have gone back and forth on this since we found out, and we have agreed on a few, but nothing set and stone. So if anyone has any suggestions please send them my way, I thought with us having a girl it would be easy to pick out a name, and actually its been harder than when we were picking out boy names! So the countdown is on and now its crunch time to get all those last minute things ready.

Tagged

I have been tagged by my friend Kendall, so here it goes.

My Quirks:

  1. I check expiration dates on everything, if its even a day after the date I throw it out. Also I check the labels on everything, and since being pregnant its even worse, I measure out my food, check the carb count, and look at all the ingredients. I check the labels in my fridge about once a day. It drives Jason and my mom nuts(especially my mom on this one, I was at her house this weekend and I started checking all her labels, so its not just my house I do this at, but others too!)

  2. I am very particular about my bath towels, no one else can use them, not even my husband or son, if I notice anyone using them I have to wash them right away, I hang them in the same spot everyday and hang them a certain way everyday as well.

  3. I can't go to bed with my kitchen messy, the dishes have to be done, dishwasher running and all the counters cleaned off, there can't be dishes, food, or papers on the counters anywhere, plus I'm very particular on how my dishwasher is loaded and what goes in it, I have to hand wash all my pots and pans, Daniels cups, and my tupperware (sp?) but everything else can go in the dishwasher, and it has to be loaded by me, I have a really hard time letting others do it.

  4. I don't have to be ready for the day, I may be in my sweats all day, but I can't do that with Daniel, I have to get him ready every morning and I have the same routine I do with him every day, and it drives me nuts if its not done. Its also the same at night time, I do the same thing every night when I get him ready for bed, and its always done in the same order, and It drives me crazy if we are out past Daniels bedtime because it throws everything off and things just don't go as smoothly. (well at least for me they don't)

  5. I keep all my receipts, even if I know I won't need them, or its just from a fast food place, I have a container I keep them all in and about every month I go through it, if its less than a month old I won't throw it away, and with clothes and electronic receipts I'll keep them even longer. Even we have used the item and worn it a million times and I know I won't be returning I just can't throw out the receipt.

Now you know "some" of my quirks. I would love to know some of yours. Especially Viv, Rosie, Sheri, Janalee and Kellie

May 21, 2008

My birthday dinner with Rosie and Amber. Thanks Rose for setting this up, and I can't wait for the concert! Only a couple more weeks! But I love you girls and thanks for being there for me!
The husbands...you like how daniel is half naked, Jason was just about to change his diaper when we decided to take this picture, and well....we just decided to leave the shorts off.

26 Years OLD!

Yesterday(the 20th) I celebrated my 26th birthday, wow....where have the years gone. But I had a really great day, at first I was a little bummed because I was going to be by myself all day because Jason had to work and both my mom and dad did did too, but at about 11:30 I get a knock on the door and my dad surprised me with a visit and took me and Daniel to lunch, what a great surprise! Thanks dad it meant a lot to me! Then as soon as Jason got off we all met up for my birthday dinner. Although I didn't do much, it was perfect because I got to spend it with my family! My mom surprised me with a new baby sling, and some lounge clothes for after the baby is born, which I was in real need of, so thanks mom! And thank you Rick and Nancy for the wonderful card and gift! Jason let me do a little shopping for myself as his gift to me, and when I told him what I wanted I was waiting for the do you really need it, but instead he agreed! So I ordered a bracelet I have been eyeing for awhile from Tiffany's. I can't wait for it to be here! But overall I had a really great day, and thank you to everyone who made it special for me!

playing outside

Last year it took a miracle for Daniel to crawl or let alone just sit on the grass, its a whole different story this year, at first he was a little hesitant, but once he realized he wasn't going to hurt him he had a blast. We have been loving the nice the weather lately, but of course today we have been stuck inside all day, due to rain and wind, don't you just love Utah weather!

Happy Mother's Day!

We didn't do much for Mother's Day, which was just what I wanted, a relaxing day with a long nap, dinner with family and spending time with my little guy. Being a wife and mother is the most rewarding job ever, and I have enjoyed every minute of it!

This last week has been amazing, we had the opportunity to go with my parents out to Hilton Head Island. Thanks Mom and Dad for inviting us! This was a much needed vacation for us! Then half way through the week Jasons parents got to join us, they drove down from Virginia to spend the rest of the week with us! So we got pretty spoiled, we had both set of parents there! We had a great time being able to spend time together, go the beach, the pool and just hang out. This vacation was just what we needed, it wasn't one of those vacations where you feel like your on the go all the time, and feel more tired coming home, that you need another vacation to recover from the one you were just on. This vacation was just relaxing, with sleeping in, going to the beach, lounging at the pool and of course a little shopping. What more could you ask for?? So thanks again for a great vacation!

at the beach

He was not afraid of the water at all, he just went for it. luckily we had 6 adults to keep a eye on him.
