8 months OLD!

My little peanut is now 8 Months old! It amazes me how much they change in just a month, she always seems to surprise me with doing something new everyday. So with that here are a few things about my little peanut at 8 months.....she is a MAJOR mama's girl, she loves playing patty cake and now when we say who's so big she raises her arms with me, she is not a fan of baby food.....any suggestions??? I have found if I mix her fruits and veggies with her rice cereal she'll eat it, but WILL NOT eat it alone, I guess its better than not eating it at all, but I wish she would. Also.....between her and Daniel they are so different with there eating, Daniel loved his baby food and hated table food and she well, despises baby food, and for the life of me I can't remember what kind of table food we started Daniel on....any suggestions what to start little Brielle on, I think she is ready for more table food, she has two little teeth and when I give her the little puffs she chews them up and doesn't have a problem, I just don't know what to start her on. She has been attempting to crawl but not quite there yet, she gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth then just plops right back to her belly, I just think she's to content with rolling everywhere to get to what she wants. She is a GRABBER, anything and everything and it doesn't matter what it is, she wants it! She loves to look at herself in the mirror, she just cracks up looking at herself. She has started screaming at the top of her lungs to get our attention or to let us know she is done with whatever she is doing, and you can forget about walking out of the room with her around, she has to have you in sight at all times or she SCREAMS, seriously she is the funniest little thing, one minute she'll be happy and giggling and 2 seconds later she will just be in tears. She really is all GIRL! She absolutely adores Daniel! I think that's the best part about her getting older, being able to see her and Daniel interacting and playing together! We just love this little girl and can't wait to see whats in store for us next month.
also.....any suggestion on helping this little girl sleep at night???? She was doing good for awhile, but has now started waking up every 2-3 hours again, she isn't hungry, she is just screaming at the top of her lungs. I have tried letting her cry it out, but if I let her go to long she ends up waking Daniel, and then I have 2 kids up and once Daniel is up it takes forever to get him to go back to sleep.

Just because he's so cute I had to add a picture of my favorite little boy! Can you imagine waking up to this smile everyday.....I feel like the luckiest mother in the world!

Disney on ice

Last Friday night Daniel and I got to have a little "Date Night"! And it was so much fun! We met up with my good friend Viv and her adorable little boy Britton for Disney on Ice. To start the night off we had Dinner at Rumbi for us Mommies and grabed some McDonalds for the boys. Then it was off to the show. All I can say is the boys had a blast, as well as we did, but I think what made my night was seeing how happy and excited Daniel was. As soon as the show started he was cheering and clapping along and just having the time of his life!

Daniel and Britton loved to stand between me and Viv and dance and cheer!

And our sweet little Brielle stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa for the night......still a little to young to take.

GOLF

Last weekend Jason took off Saturday afternoon with his buddy Bryce (now normally I don't use the word buddy, i'm more a friend type of gal, but considering this is for Jason, I'll use Buddy just for him!)Anyways...They took off last Saturday for St.George and spent all day Sunday Golfing! As you can see they had perfect weather, Jason even got a little burned, so while Jason is enjoying the sunny weather I'm here freezing my butt off. (can you tell I'm ready for spring.....seriously I'm tired of the cold!) Well, the boys had fun golfing, sitting in the jacuzzi and enjoying the sunny weather.

Army Strong!

I'm gonna get straight to the point.......Jason is going into the Army! This decision didn't come lightly and it didn't come easily, but at this time in our lives its the right step for us and our family! It seems lately we have hit some rocky areas in school and work, and with how unstable jobs are right now we have no idea what would be in store for us once Jason graduated a year from now. So after spending many days praying and hours on hours in the recruiting office, we have decided to give ourselves to the Army for the next 4 years! Jason had his physical and was sworn in as a Private First Class on Monday March 9Th. He is due to report on May 6th for reception week, then its off to Boot Camp at Fort Benning on the 11Th where he'll spend the next 9 weeks being whipped into top shape and transform himself from a civilian into a soldier. Once he has graduated from Boot Camp he'll then go on to his AIT training where he'll spend 21 weeks at Fort Gordon to be trained in his MOS (military occupation specialty) he will be training to be a Nodal Networks Systems Operator. So now we have less than two months to prepare and get ourselves ready for a whole new world we are about to be a apart of. But I am so proud of you Jason and all the sacrifices you are willing to make for our family, our country, and for yourself, I know this will make you stronger, more confident, and develop the skills you will be able to use for the rest of your life! We love you!

Crazy!

So this morning me and my Mom decided to check out the new Nordstroms at Fashion Place and apparently almost every other woman in the state decided to do the same thing. I worked at the opening when the Orem store first opened and I don't remember it being anything like this, I mean this was just plain crazy. It was like anniversary sale but no sale.....if that makes sense. Anyways, we had fun, we ran into a lot of old friends we use to work with and it was fun to check things out, and of course I couldn't leave empty handed, I came away with some marvelous black heels which I LOVE, now if I can only figure out how I'm gonna wear them chasing 2 little ones around....mmmmm, this could be interesting.

Seriously....is it to much to ask??

Okay, so lately I have realized I have been terrible at taking pictures of these two (I blame stress) so I decided I would attempt to get a cute pic to post of these two so all of you wouldn't forget what they looked like(ha ha) because I have been so terrible at blogging lately, and well, this is what I got. Seriously, not one turned out. Oh well, its them, and it shows how they really are. They don't like to sit still, they don't like to look at the camera, or if I do get them to look at me its because I'm making every funny face or noise I can think of. But regardless, I adore these two!

Happy 28th Birthday Jason!!

Today we celebrate Jasons 28th Birthday! We have had a really low key day(and that is exactly what he wanted), I kept asking him what he wanted to do and his response was simply......some Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, a day in with US and lunch at Wendy's, and for those of you that know Jason this should come as no surprise. He has got to be the easiest person to please....time with family, some ice cream and lunch at his favorite place. Happy Birthday Jason....We love you and are so grateful for all you do for us!
Happy Birthday Jason!

7 Months

Brielle is now 7 months, and we marked it by having our first taste of sickness with her. Last week she started to get a little cough, which then turned worse, by Saturday she was miserable, I took her into her pediatrician and at that point she had a minor viral infection and a ear infection in her right ear, so we were sent home with antibiotics and high hopes this was the worse of it. That wasn't the case, Sunday night things took a turn for the worse, at one point she had a fever of about 103! Now its Monday and we have returned home from another trip to the Doctor and now Brielle has Bronchiolitis! Poor baby, she is just miserable, and I hate that the fact there is nothing I can do but cuddle and rock her! So lets hope this is the worse of it and from here on out things will finally get better for her. But on a better note I thought I would share some highlights of this month with Brielle, she is consistently saying ma ma, da da and ba ba, and I think I have even hear Mom, but then again that just may be me hoping she is saying that, she has started clapping her hands, and while on her belly she is attempting to get on all fours but quite hasn't mastered it yet, she is officially eating all baby foods, although to get her to eat her veggies I have to mix it with her cereal, but she eats her fruits like a pro. We just love this little girl and can't wait for this sickness to leave us and have our sweet baby girl back!
This picture just breaks my heart....she is in so much pain and just miserable and the fact that I can't do anything about it makes it worse!

I {Heart}

Being that today is the day of LOVE, I thought I would share some things that I love oh so much!

My sweet baby girl and her adorable personality! She amazes me everyday and I just love her to pieces!

MY BOYS! Enough said......I love these two and Daniel seriously can change a tense and stressful day into putting me on the ground laughing kind of day! Jason, he just gets me, through all my stubbornness and all those days where I'm a little less than pleasant he just knows how to turn it around for me and make me feel special!

FAMILY! I feel so lucky to have such a great family, I think i'm a pretty lucky girl, I have amazing parents and amazing in-laws! Both my parents and Jasons parents are so supportive and willing to go the extra mile for our little family, and I don't think I could ever thank them enough for everything they have done for us!

My Diet Coke.....I know its a terrible habit, but I love it and can't go a day with out it! And I think for my sanity and the sanity of others around me, we should probably keep it that way, because I have to tell you I'm not a very pleasant girl with out it!

My cell phone.....how did we ever live with out these!

I LOVE my DVR! Very rarely do I ever get to watch T.V. or at least any shows that I want to watch....so its so nice to be able to just record them and then once Jason gets home from work and the kids are in bed we can just lounge on the couch together and catch up on our shows!

Seriously, I'm obsessed, I don't know what it is about it but this show completely draws me in!

After looking for what seemed to be forever for a heart rate monitor that suited me,I finally found one! I found one on the Internet a while back but it was like $300 and was aimed more towards runners (And I am definatley not a runner) and it was mainly for those who want to keep track of there distance/pace and so forth, but all I wanted was something I could take to the gym and keep me on track, and help me know how hard I'm working, and what am I really burning off! And then I found this! I can not live without it!

I love a good workout....especially the classes, I do okay out on the floor by myself, but I seem to get distracted easily and find myself slacking, but in classes I kick major butt! My new obsession as of late is Boot Camp, all I can say is Holy Crap! It really kicks your butt into gear and by the end of the class I'm just dripping in sweat ( I know, great image). When it comes to classes I become majorly obsessed, especially once I find one I love! Since moving and now going to the American Fork Gym I have had a really had a hard time finding a class that gets me excited to go to the gym, then I found Boot Camp! I love it! Its different than any other class I have ever been too, it challenges your body in so many ways and you find yourself doing things you never thought possible!

sleep, funny faces and TEETH!

Our routine got a little messed up last week with Daniels surgery and taking a week off from school. As we started up again this week, naps went out the door and now when he gets home from school he is just exhausted. As I got done making dinner I came out to grab him and this is what I found. Poor little guy! Hopefully we can get back in the swing of things and get Daniel back on his schedule with school.
once again......Brielle and her funny faces, she can't just smile at me, but that is okay, because I get a kick out of her!

We have 2 teeth! They just broke through the other week and surprisingly she hasn't been that grumpy, she sure has been chewing on things like crazy, but I always hear these horror stories about when kids are teething, and well I guess I got lucky, we never had problems with Daniel and it doesn't seem to be bothering her all that much either.

Motivation!

Okay.....so I have pretty much lost all my baby weight,(those last 5 lbs are just being to darn stubborn to lose!) but as most of you woman know, after having kids your body is just not the same. And it seems that after these two little ones, and two c-sections my body is definitely not the same, I could be the same weight (give or take a little) and yet my clothes don't fit....go figure! So I have set some goals for myself, and to get myself even more motivated I have made a little wager with Jason, that if I make it to my goal weight, I get the grand prize! Also, to keep me going and have to own up to it, I have created a little ticker on the side to keep me on track, now right now I am at a healthy weight, by doctors standards, but I so badly want to fit in my clothes again and have them fit RIGHT! So yes i would like to lose a little bit of weight, but I also want to focus on getting to the gym everyday, eating healthy, and TONING up, and I think if I finally get my focus where is should be by getting to the gym, and eating healthy I'll see the numbers go down and finally fit in those favorite capri's I have for spring. But your probably wondering why on earth am I am posting all of this, I'm hoping by doing this I can finally get on track and stay on track, because it seems I keep making the same goals over and over again and well somehow I never stick to it, so I'm hoping by posting them, and giving myself a little motvation through a nice little reward I can stick to it once and for all. Because for me getting started is the hardest part, but after I start and I see the results it becomes easier and easier and then its just a lifestyle for me. So wish me luck, I have until May 1st to reach my goal!

Rough Day!

On Monday January 26th Daniel had his adenoids out, and tubes put in his ears. He was such a trooper throughout the whole day, when the Doctor came and talked to us after the surgery he told us that no wonder Daniel was always breathing out of his mouth, his adenoids were so swollen that it was blocking about 75 percent of his airway......wow! They were also able to get the tubes in without any problem, and told us there was a lot of thick fluid in there, we are hoping this was the cause of his delay in talking. The way the doctor put it to us was there was so much fluid that it was as if Daniel was listening to us like he was under water, he could hear us, but everything was muffled, so I guess we'll just see in the weeks to come if we notice any changes in how Daniel responds to us. When I was finally able to go back and see Daniel he was not a happy guy, he was thrashing around, crying, and kept rubbing his face with his IV which in turn caused a little nose bleeding because he rubbed it so hard, but after another dose of morphine and me holding him, he finally calmed down. Once we were able to wake him up enough to drink a little and be coherent we were given the green light to go home. The rest of the day was a little bit harder than previous surgeries, I'm not sure if its because he's older and more aware now, but we couldn't keep him awake for anything, and every time he would drink or eat anything he would throw it right up, and he was running a fever of about 101, but after a call to PC, they told us to just let him sleep and by morning he needs to be eating and drinking, but for now he's okay as long as we are having wet diapers. By the next day he was pretty much back to himself, and the crazy thing as well is he has not had any pain medication. He doesn't even act like he's in pain. So now we are on day 3 and he's back to his happy little self again, eating and drinking and back to entertaining his little sister again.

We had to be the hospital at 6:30 a.m., a little early for all of us!

He was completely happy until when he had to put the hospital clothes on him!

He was more interested in watching T.V than drinking his juice.

After we brought him home we could not for the life of us keep him awake, all he wanted to do was sleep

We had a pretty rough first day, we couldn't keep anything in him, he threw up every time we gave him anything to drink or eat. By day 2 things were back to normal.

One of my worst fears comes True!

Since becoming a mother there are a few things that just freak me out, and scare the crap out of me, things I wish never to happen, and one of things came to reality for me last night, I broke down on the side of the freeway in the heaviest fog we have had in years with both Brielle and Daniel......and to make matters worse I had no headlights, no hazards and my phone was minutes from dying! Well this is how my night went.....this is gonna be long so be ware.....It started back about a month ago when my mom came to me and offered us my Grandma's car, my Grandma is now in a assisted living home and can no longer drive, so instead of the car just sitting in her garage my mom and aunt offered us to take the car and use it while Jason finishes up school, I was so excited, in our 4 years of marriage we have never had 2 cars, so this was going to be SO nice. We decided yesterday was the day that I would pick up the car. So after picking up the car, getting everything situated and the kids in there car seats we were finally ready to head home, at this point it was already 8:30 and I was dreading the drive because of the fog, as I left my parents house I could barely see 20 feet in front of me but by the time I hit the freeway it wasn't so bad, so off I went, it was probably around 7200 south I started noticing the car acting a little funny, but didn't think much of it, but then I noticed the temp gage was starting to go up........and up....and up, and at this point as well the fog was getting worse again...to the point where I couldn't see a thing, at that point I decided I should probably pull over and see whats going on, and that is when my night took a turn for the absolute worse, as I started to pull of the first exit I could tell the car was dying on me, when I pushed on the gas it wouldn't speed up, and my lights started to dim, and I had no idea if I was on or off the freeway either.....so I finally was able to pull off, I didn't make it all the way off the exit, I was just barely off the freeway and just barely off the side of the road, as I sat there I would all of a sudden see headlights coming right at me from behind, I can't tell you how many times I sat there with my face clenched hoping and praying no one would hit me, I tried to start the car again and nothing, it was at that point I knew I wasn't going to make it home, so I first called my parents to see if they knew about any problems with the car or what I should do, so being the amazing parents they are they hoped in there car and headed my way to help me out, then I made the call to Jason, he immediately left work and headed my way as well. As I was sitting there I knew I had to try and get off the exit, because at any moment a car might not see me because of the fog and just ram into the back of us, oh and did I mention as well, at this point I had no hazard lights, and no headlights, I was able to turn my brights on, they were pretty dim though, so after about 15 min I tried starting the car again, and it started but you could tell it was really struggling, I managed to start driving again, and as I did i saw a sign to a gas station. I was hoping I could make it, but that wasn't the case, as i got to the bottom of the exit the car was starting to die on me again, and the light was red, ugh.....all I could think of was I cannot let this car die here, someone for sure would hit me, so instead of waiting for the light I ran it.....and not just one light, but 2! The only thing I kept thinking was I have to get somewhere safe to pull over so no one would hit us....I finally had no choice where to pull over, the car just died in the right lane, so I was half in a lane and half off the road......grrrrr, I was just in tears at this point, so as I sat there waiting for Jason and my parents I just kept looking back at my sweet kids asleep in the car, and thinking please let us be safe. As I sat there waiting a couple of cars stopped to ask if I needed help, and me being paranoid, and someone who has watched one to many crime shows kindly says no, but in the back of my mind kept thinking please just drive away, and please don't talk to me, and please don't get out of the car, and please oh please don't hurt me and my family. But luckily all the people were very nice and after my kind yet very stern response they left us. It was also at this point my phone was minutes from dying, every time I tried to call Jason or my parents to see how close they were my phone would beep at me, and I would get that annoying alert that my battery was about dead......seriously, how could my night get any worse???? So after what seemed be an eternity, both my parents and Jason showed up, the only thing we could do at that point was to try and jump start it, with the fog, and being pitch black outside we couldn't really tell what was wrong or get a good look at the car, but luckily it started after we jumped it, once we started it we decided we would all follow each other to my house to make sure everything was okay. We didn't make it 10 minutes when the car did it again, at that point we knew for sure this car was not going to make it, at this point it was late, the kids were awake and crying and I was a total mess as well, we decided to leave it at the gas station and we would get it towed in the morning and just take it from there, I just physically and mentally could not deal with it any more that night, I was done......so my parents left and headed home then we left and headed home and my Grandma's car stayed parked in the gas stations parking lot......wow, what a night I had. This was by far one of the worst nights I have ever had.....not only was I stranded on the side of the road, but I was stranded with my 6 month old, my 3 year old by myself! I'm just glad that night is over and I am so grateful for my parents and Jason for coming to my rescue......honestly I have never been that scared before in my entire life.

Addicted!

So I'm completely addicted! Never in my life have I rearranged my schedule or changed our routine for a T.V show.....and here I am doing just that! Usually I'll just record shows I want to watch and if I have time or the kids let me, I'll watch it when I can or when they are napping.....but with 24 and The Biggest Loser I just can't do it, I'm just to anxious to see what happens that I have to watch it right when it comes on!

What I would give to be trained by these two!
