Well it wasn't the best of weeks for us, last saturday I was in a car accident.
Luckily me and Daniel were not injured, I was sore for a few days, but nothing serious.
Just grateful it was the car and not us that took the crash.

So happy to be at home, he had a rough day getting fitted for his helmet.

Well, Daniel had to get fitted for a new helmet!
Let's just say he wasn't to happyabout it, the best part of it was whenthey were done. They use plaster as if he was getting a cast to get the shape of his head, then in about a week we will actually have the helmet.

Well I thought i would update everyone on how Daniel is doing and whats happening. This month is going to be a busy one for Daniel. We go back to Primary Childrens for Clinic, which is where we see a variety of Doctors, its usually about 6 or 7, but luckily they get it in one day. Its just a very long day!!! But Daniel is the strong one for us, we will get to find out about whether or not they will have to do surgery on his feet, and we also have to have a few more MRI's and a bladder study, which is a CMG. Most of these test are repeats from what we did in Feb and March, they just are checking to see if anything has changed since his surgery in March. Were hoping things are either the same or have improved! So we are keeping our fingers crossed. We also found out that he still needs his helmet, so we go in this week to get a new one fitted, he outgrew the first one, but they think a few more months would be very beneficial. Also we still have the Physical and Occupational Therapist coming every week. Its amazing how much they have helped! Its been a rough year for Daniel, but he has really pulled through. Daniel may not have the physical strength, but he really makes up on it with he's personality! He is the most happy, fun loving, energentic baby, he's the little angel in our family!

On a side note I just want to thank everyone who has helped us and supported us these last nine months, I'm not sure how I've done it, I have spent many hours crying and praying, and I'm just so grateful for our family and friends. We are so lucky to have all of you part of our lives!
also as things go on this month i'll keep updating on how his appointments go. But thanks again for everyone's support.

Messy Daniel!! He kept trying to feed himself, but just
couldn't get the hang of it, so he thought he's just grab it and
do things his way. But to my surprise, he loves his
veggies, sweet potatoes and squash are his favorite!

Here we are at the Hotel, luckily we were about a
mile off the strip, and the hotel had a family type setting. Daniel really enjoyed
the pool, I think he thought it was just one big bathtub.

Our trip to Sin city, Las Vegas.
We went down for a week, and was it hot, but
we really enjoyed just hanging out at the pool, and being
able to just relax!

This is from Daniel's surgery in March.
This was a really hard time in our families
life and we feel so blessed that everything was
able to go so well. Daniel's recovery went really smooth, and
today you would never know he had surgery. For those of you who
don't know, Daniel had a tethered spinal cord
its a form of Spina Bifida, and luckily the doctors at Primary
Childrens were able to catch it. This is something that
will challenge him the rest of his life, but he is a real
fighter. Doctors and therapist are actually surprised at how
well he is doing. He is such a blessing in
our lives.
He just loves his veggies!

He loves to be in just his diaper!
This chair is actually one from when I was little,
I have a picture just like this when I
was his age!

He really enjoys the time he does'nt have to wear his helmet. He gets to have it off 1 hour out of the day, but the other 23 hours its helmet time! But were hoping only a few more weeks. Were keeping our fingers crossed.

Well I just thought I would update everyone on how things are going and what has been happening in our lives. To start off with Daniel is doing great, we go back to Primary Childrens in September to check his progress, he is still wearing the helmet but man has it helped. We have started him the Early Intervention program here in Springville, he gets weekly visits from Physical and Occupational Therapists as well as a nurse comes out once a month! We feel very fortunate to have these people helping him. He is progressing he has started rolling over, he rolls pretty much all over the house, he sometimes sits on his own but we still need a little work, and he's not quite mastered the skill of bearing weight on his legs but he's getting there, were just taking it day by day. We are so blessed to have him part of our lives, he has taught us so much and I couldn't imagine my life without him. Well Jason is still working at R.C. Willey, we start school back up in August, and I'll be staying home with Daniel. Its been a good summer so far, we got go out to Virginia for Tracy's wedding which we really enjoyed. (we love it back east) It was just so good to see the whole family! But pretty much up till now we have just been lounging and taken it easy, were just enjoying our time here in Utah!
I just came across this picture and wanted to share it.
This is October 29, 2005 the day we got sealed!
I was 37 weeks pregnant.
It was an amazing weekend!
Daniel's new way of sleeping!
