This is a chair that the therapist gave us to help Daniel sitting. He does really well prop sitting but, we want him to start sitting without having to use his hands, so this helps keep his balance so he can play with toys and not always be falling over. He's not a big fan of it yet, but were getting there, we just do a little more each day, and hopefully soon we won't need the chair. But he is doing a lot better bearing weight on his legs. He still needs a little more strength, but he's come a long way and we are so proud of him.

Well today was our long day up at Primary Childrens, and well....we have good news. Daniel does not need surgery! Well at least not right now, or anytime soon, we saw some specialist in Pediatric Orthopedic for his feet and they said that he is looking great. Also the CMG went great too, he has a healthy bladder and nothing to worry about, with Daniel having a tethered spinal cord that is something that they worry about, but luckily we were able to have the surgery on his cord before any problems arose. We also had clinic today, which is where we see a series of Doctors, and......we don't have to go back for 6 months to a year! Now that is what I call good news! So after a stressful week it ended on a good note.

Well I thought i would update everyone on how Daniel is doing and whats happening. This month is going to be a busy one for Daniel. We go back to Primary Childrens for Clinic, which is where we see a variety of Doctors, its usually about 6 or 7, but luckily they get it in one day. Its just a very long day!!! But Daniel is the strong one for us, we will get to find out about whether or not they will have to do surgery on his feet, and we also have to have a few more MRI's and a bladder study, which is a CMG. Most of these test are repeats from what we did in Feb and March, they just are checking to see if anything has changed since his surgery in March. Were hoping things are either the same or have improved! So we are keeping our fingers crossed. We also found out that he still needs his helmet, so we go in this week to get a new one fitted, he outgrew the first one, but they think a few more months would be very beneficial. Also we still have the Physical and Occupational Therapist coming every week. Its amazing how much they have helped! Its been a rough year for Daniel, but he has really pulled through. Daniel may not have the physical strength, but he really makes up on it with he's personality! He is the most happy, fun loving, energentic baby, he's the little angel in our family!
On a side note I just want to thank everyone who has helped us and supported us these last nine months, I'm not sure how I've done it, I have spent many hours crying and praying, and I'm just so grateful for our family and friends. We are so lucky to have all of you part of our lives!
also as things go on this month i'll keep updating on how his appointments go. But thanks again for everyone's support.
