This is from Daniel's surgery in March.
This was a really hard time in our families
life and we feel so blessed that everything was
able to go so well. Daniel's recovery went really smooth, and
today you would never know he had surgery. For those of you who
don't know, Daniel had a tethered spinal cord
its a form of Spina Bifida, and luckily the doctors at Primary
Childrens were able to catch it. This is something that
will challenge him the rest of his life, but he is a real
fighter. Doctors and therapist are actually surprised at how
well he is doing. He is such a blessing in
our lives.
He just loves his veggies!

He loves to be in just his diaper!
This chair is actually one from when I was little,
I have a picture just like this when I
was his age!

He really enjoys the time he does'nt have to wear his helmet. He gets to have it off 1 hour out of the day, but the other 23 hours its helmet time! But were hoping only a few more weeks. Were keeping our fingers crossed.

Well I just thought I would update everyone on how things are going and what has been happening in our lives. To start off with Daniel is doing great, we go back to Primary Childrens in September to check his progress, he is still wearing the helmet but man has it helped. We have started him the Early Intervention program here in Springville, he gets weekly visits from Physical and Occupational Therapists as well as a nurse comes out once a month! We feel very fortunate to have these people helping him. He is progressing he has started rolling over, he rolls pretty much all over the house, he sometimes sits on his own but we still need a little work, and he's not quite mastered the skill of bearing weight on his legs but he's getting there, were just taking it day by day. We are so blessed to have him part of our lives, he has taught us so much and I couldn't imagine my life without him. Well Jason is still working at R.C. Willey, we start school back up in August, and I'll be staying home with Daniel. Its been a good summer so far, we got go out to Virginia for Tracy's wedding which we really enjoyed. (we love it back east) It was just so good to see the whole family! But pretty much up till now we have just been lounging and taken it easy, were just enjoying our time here in Utah!
I just came across this picture and wanted to share it.
This is October 29, 2005 the day we got sealed!

Tummy time no more! He thinks is funny that he can roll over now. Everytime we put him on his tummy he just rolls right back over and then laughs!
