wow....this was the most amazing week! My parents flew down on a Saturday, and me and Jason took off the next day for Vegas! This was our first trip in our marriage (besides the honeymoon) without kids and an actual vacation! So it was well needed and well deserved!! We took off on Sunday and my parents stayed with the kiddos, to end the trip we headed to Phoenix on Thursday and spent 3 days with my parents and the kids at the most beautiful resort EVER! We went swimming, we lounged and of coursed enjoyed some GREAT food,  yes...we like to eat out, and so we took advantage of all the great restraunts (we really don't have much in Sierra Vista, gotta love living in small towns!) So THANK YOU Mom and Dad for watching our kids, it was a well needed break from life and a much needed getaway with the most amazing man in my Life!!

Easter 2011

The day was perfect, kids slept in, they behaved all morning, did better than usual at Church, and we had a wonderful dinner just the four of us....it really was perfect!!

this is probably the best family picture we have had in a long time, all though I do wish I was standing closer to Jason :), the timer on the camera was about to go off and this is where I ended up!

Brielle didn't want her picture taken all morning, then when we try to get one of the just the two of us, she decided she wants her picture taken too.....go figure!!

My 2 handsome boys! LOVE THEM!

spring time!!

Oh how I love living in Arizona!! We have been enjoying this spring like weather for a few months now....but like usual, I have been terrible at taking pictures! But this last weekend i finally dusted off the camera and decided I should prob take a few pics of my cute kiddos!! Its been a busy few months, with therapy, potty training and more dr's appointments, but things have finally started to slow down, so maybe i'll have time now to sit down and blog!!

Don't let this cute and innocent face fool you....she is completely full of it and indeed she thinks she is a princess!! But regardless I love her to pieces and YES she does have me wrapped around her little finger!

 LOVE HIM!!

random....

Its been awhile....we are still here, just super busy! Daniel got his casts off on the 10th of February, and ever since then, most of our time has been dedicated to him, and getting him to walk again!! I'm also now babysitting a 4 month old, so I pretty much have every second of my day filled with something to do, whether its changing diapers, potty training Brielle, working with Daniel, taking Daniel to 4 thereapy appointments a week, or fixing meals, and then trying to fit a shower in there somewhere for myself. But I promise once things slow down I'll get back into blogging, but for now...here a  few random pictures of my adorable kids!!

Standing! After 2 long weeks, we finally are standing again! Of course he has to hold something, but we'll take it! So, SO proud of him!! :)

Daniels Surgery

wow....what a busy few weeks we have had. I don't even know where to begin. So I guess instead of a long drawn out post I'll post the highlights.....

-Daniels surgery was planned for the 20th, Jason was suppose to leave Iraq on/around the 15th to make it in time....

-one flight delay after another...

-Day before Surgery....Jason is still in Iraq....GRRRRR!

-Sunday Morning Daniel and I head to Phoenix to prepare for the big day!

-I get the call from Jason...HE GOT A FLIGHT! WAHOO!

-Monday Morning we head to Phoenix Childrens Hospital.

-7:30am they take my little boy back....

-I cried like a baby.....

-I really wish Jason was here to lean on right now.....

-Then I get the best phone call yet.....Jason was able to switch his flights, so instead of flying into Tucson Monday night, he is flying into Phoenix and will be to the hospital in a few hours!

-After 5 hours in Surgery the doctor comes out with the good news, Daniel did wonderful and everything went smoothly, and I will soon get to see him!

-After waiting for what seemed forever, I finally get to go back and be with my boy while he is waking up....

-Jason Shows up just after Daniel wakes up!

-What started as a stressfull and exhausting day turned into exciting day the moment Jason walked through those doors!

-We are finally a family again!

-We spent 3 days in the hospital

We finally get to GO HOME!

-now its Brielle's turn to finally see her daddy!!

-Because of RSV season Brielle was not allowed at the hospital :( Boo!!

-We pick up Brielle from a friends house in Phoenix and the moment she see's her daddy she runs right to him and hugs him, and willNOT let go.....

-I cried again.....

-now we are home, enjoying every second together!

-oh and did I mention Jason does NOT have to go back to Iraq! YAY!!! Yep, he's home to stay, at least until the next deployment that is......

Phew......

Okay, so that was longer than I thought, but you get the idea! Its was exhausting and stressfull, but we were truly blessed through all of this and I am so grateful to have my little family together again!

my soldier

Jason got to leave Iraq for 2 weeks and head over to Kuwait for some training.....the thing I loved most about this, Kuwait is a safe place....for 2 weeks I didn't have to worry about my hubby! I don't think I have slept that well since he left! Maybe they should send him there more often for training. HA HA! Oh...and when he was in Kuwait we found out Jason got a waiver, which means, Early promotion! YAY! Proud of you babe!!!

In 12 days this little boy is having his 5th surgery..... WOW....that is really all I have to say, I'm speechless right now, 5 years old and going on his 5th surgery! But I'll tell you, he is the bravest little boy around! I have been really dreading this surgery, one, because its surgery, but also because I was going to go through it alone...without Jason. UGH...but thankfully our prayers have been answered! Jason is COMING HOME!!! On Monday the 6th I sent a Red Cross Message in hopes that maybe by some chance they would let him come home. I sent the message at 730am and by 1pm we knew he was coming home! YAY, so next week Jason will be flying home from Iraq to be with us for Daniels surgery. There is one perk of Daniel having his surgery at this time,  we also get Jason for Christmas!!! (WAHOO) Its going to be short trip for him, but I will take what I can get, I am just so glad I will have my husband to lean on through all of this, and our family will be intact at surgery time!! So there may not be many presents under the tree this year, but I have everything I want, my family together! Oh and to add to the good news, my parents are also flying down for Christmas. So i'll have my hubby, my kids, and my parents! Christmas is going to be wonderful this year!!!
So thank you to Jasons command for letting my husband come home to be with Daniel for his surgery. Daniel has a very special bond with his daddy and I know with him being home Daniel will recover faster, and I know it will be a big weight lifted off me, I was starting to wonder how I was going to make sure Brielle was taken care of and me be at the hospital with Daniel. So this is truly a blessing!

November 27, 2010

Oh how I love my soldier......

words can't even describe how much I miss this man right now! i feel a bit like a scrooge this holiday season, usually I'm excited to pull out my decorations, i'm usually shopping like crazy, and getting everything just right, but this year, I just don't feel like doing any of it....but despite me not wanting too, I know I need too, I need to make things as normal as possible for Daniel and Brielle, and with Daniel having surgery 5 days before Christmas, I need to make sure I make things extra special for them. so I'm putting my buh humbug feelings to the side, so here we go, time to get going on my shopping and get in the Christmas spirit, and start doing the things that I usually love doing this time of year.

Happy Birthday Daniel

I can't believe it....my baby little boy is 5 years old!! When did that happen?!?!? We had a wonderful time celebrating! We had a birthday party for him the Saturday before his birthday and he got spoiled rotten, and he deserved all of it! Then November 23rd came and he finally turned 5 (tear) I just can't believe he's not my baby anymore! He has turned into an amazing little boy, not that he hasn't always been amazing, but he just gets happier by the day and I just love him that much more everyday! He can brighten anyones day and has a smile that just melts your heart! Honestly....look at him! He has come such a long way in the last 5 years and has gone through more than most of us go through in a lifetime! He continues to prove to us that despite his disability he is not going to let that hold him back. The only thing missing from the day was Daddy! Happy Birthday Daniel we love you and are SO proud of you!!!

LOVE THESE TWO!
