Our wonderful friends and Neighbors Chris, Jenny, Madison and Jordan brought these over to us after Daniels surgery(Thank YOU!), they are always thinking of him and our family. We are so lucky to have them be a part of our lives. Daniel just loves stuffed animals and when he finally put roo down to play with the cute little monkey they gave him, he was just singing and talking to it , well that is until he knew we were watching him. But his recovery is going very well, he's not completely himself yet, but he's still making us smile everyday.

Post Surgery

Here we are post surgery, he wasn't the happiest little guy, but he sure was a little fighter, we spent about two hours in post op then we were able to go home, once we got home and Daniel finally got to eat he was able to settle down enough to finally go to sleep.

Here is Daniel Pre-surgery, all dressed and ready to go.

When they are getting ready to take them back to the operating room they bring out these wagons and they get to go for a little wagon ride first, they also gave him some medicine to help him relax, it also helps him with his stranger anxiety. This is always the hardest part for me, handing him off to the nurses, and then all we can do is hope for the best. But everything went really smooth and this time we got to go home the same night.

Superbowl Sunday

Madison just loves Daniel, she is such a good little friend to him!

We all got together for the superbowl at Chris and Jenny's. Its fun watching the boys be boys!

Daniel just loves his v-tech ball, and now that he can stand by himself he loves his learning table too, he's just getting stronger everyday, and he loves showing us what he can do.

I put Daniel in his high chair to feed him and well.....he decided he wanted to nap instead.

Well its hard to believe January is already almost over. Here at the Carroll household things just get more exciting each day. It seems every day Daniel is showing us something new that he can do and he's showing just how strong he really is. He has started to pull himself self up to the couch and coffe table, but of course I do have to help balance him (he hasn't quite mastered shifting his weight) but he does all the work, i'm just there so he doesn't fall. He has also started trying to sound out more words, he has said Dad and Hi, but when we are talking to him he really is trying to mimic us. So its just a matter of time before we have a little talker. Jason is still at UVSC and this semester is a little more enjoyable considering he's now in is major classes, so its actually interesting for him. And as for me, I'm still just loving being at home with Daniel and doing the Mom thing, We hope everyone is having a wonderful year so far and we love you all!

All ready to go to church. Daniel has started this new thing that when were at church he doesn't want to sit on our lap he has to be on the bench between us. Its kinda funny, he'll just sit there with the hymn book and bang on it and sing with everyone.

So Strong!

Well he's not crawling yet, but were getting close. He rocks back and forth when he's on all fours but he needs just a little more strength in his arms to be able to to move, but each day were getting closer.

Daniel just loves to stand, and we are glad he does too, he just can't get enough of it. But each day he getting stronger and stronger, I just can't believe how well he is doing. It seems like each day he's doing something new, one of his favorites things to do is to shake his head no at us, at first it was just him shaking his head at random times, now we think he understands what it means, whenever I tell him its bedtime he shakes his head no at me. Its cute right now but I know sometime down the road I won't think its so cute.

I'm not sure how he does it, but this is Daniels favorite way of sleeping.

Daniel's First Haircut

Daniel had his first haircut, and boy did he need it, we couldn't believe how much she cut off, but he's looking stylin now.

Happy New Year

We rang in the new year with Chris and Jenny this year, we had fun just playing games.

Its hard to believe its already 2007! We hope everyone had a good New Year's!

Christmas at Grandma's and Grandpa's

This year we had Christmas up in Farmington with my parents, we had a great time just hanging out, playing games, and of course enjoying all the wonderful food.

Daniel was'nt to interested in opening his presents, he just wanted to play all morning, but once the presents were open he really enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper.

From Baby to Toddler

As I was looking at Daniels one year pictures, I couldn't believe how much he has grown and changed, I came across these pictures and could not believe it has already been a year since these were taken! (by the way, in the middle picture those were Daniel's casts, he had them on from when he was two weeks old until he was around 6 weeks.)

About a week ago, we took Daniel to Target to get his pictures taken for his first birthday.

We also took him to his 12 month check up, he weighs 19 lbs 4 oz and is 29.5 inches.

Its hard to believe he has gained almost 14 lbs and has grown 10 inches since he was born. My little boy is growing up! But were loving every minute of it!!
