From Baby to Toddler
As I was looking at Daniels one year pictures, I couldn't believe how much he has grown and changed, I came across these pictures and could not believe it has already been a year since these were taken! (by the way, in the middle picture those were Daniel's casts, he had them on from when he was two weeks old until he was around 6 weeks.)

One year Pictures

About a week ago, we took Daniel to Target to get his pictures taken for his first birthday.
We also took him to his 12 month check up, he weighs 19 lbs 4 oz and is 29.5 inches.
Its hard to believe he has gained almost 14 lbs and has grown 10 inches since he was born. My little boy is growing up! But were loving every minute of it!!

I'm ONE!!

Well yesterday (Thanksgiving) Daniel turned one years old! I think there was a little to much confusion for this little guy, but once his presents were open and he could start playing with his toys, he got a little happier. One thing is for sure, he wanted nothing to do with his cake, after we were done singing to him he kinda just sat there for a little bit and then just started crying, I don't think he quite knew what to do with it. So instead of cake for Daniel, he decided he would stick with the graham crackers. So our little boy is one, kinda crazy to think about, but were loving every moment with him.

SO BIG! Well we finally hit the big milestone, we've been working hard with him and now he can't get enough of standing. After weeks with the therapist, it has finally paid off. Although this is just the begining, were just so happy to see the progression. And the best part is to see how happy he gets when he does it.

This is a chair that the therapist gave us to help Daniel sitting. He does really well prop sitting but, we want him to start sitting without having to use his hands, so this helps keep his balance so he can play with toys and not always be falling over. He's not a big fan of it yet, but were getting there, we just do a little more each day, and hopefully soon we won't need the chair. But he is doing a lot better bearing weight on his legs. He still needs a little more strength, but he's come a long way and we are so proud of him.

Well today was our long day up at Primary Childrens, and well....we have good news. Daniel does not need surgery! Well at least not right now, or anytime soon, we saw some specialist in Pediatric Orthopedic for his feet and they said that he is looking great. Also the CMG went great too, he has a healthy bladder and nothing to worry about, with Daniel having a tethered spinal cord that is something that they worry about, but luckily we were able to have the surgery on his cord before any problems arose. We also had clinic today, which is where we see a series of Doctors, and......we don't have to go back for 6 months to a year! Now that is what I call good news! So after a stressful week it ended on a good note.
